I think this was the absolute perfect choice for my needs. I was looking for something with a highly realistic grand piano feel, midi capability, great sound, and something that was aesthetically beautiful. This surpassed all expectations. The sound is absolutely amazing. At full volume it is quite loud and full, yet doesn’t distort in the least. The feel of the keys is phenomenal… perfectly weighted. It’s hard to believe how close it feels and plays to a real grand piano. I use Logic Pro for recording and external sounds and connecting through the bluetooth midi wasn’t too difficult. The premium rosewood is very dark and looks almost black in my music room. I thought I wanted black, but opted for rosewood and I absolutely love it. The built in sounds are phenomenal! Of course I would prefer more than 19, but for me I can connect to Logic if I want more. The built in sounds are perfect for practice and non-recording purposes. The CA48 really has proven to be a perfect choice for my needs and from my research, no piano in this price point offers the quality of it’s key action. I like that there are 2 headphone jacks – the smaller and larger size. You can alter the effects easily. The included technician app is amazing! I feel so spoiled to be able to so easily manipulate the sound in ways that would be really difficult and time consuming on a grand acoustic piano. The only thing I wish this piano had included is an external out. The sound of the Kawai pianos are awe-inspiring… I REALLY wish I could capture the sound in my recordings by having a line out. Other than that I just can’t say enough good things about this piano. It includes a 5 year warranty, but I’m sure it will last much longer. I could be playing this 50 years from now and it would still be beautiful and sound like an acoustic grand. I highly recommend this model for the price point, and if the attributes I mentioned are what you are looking for. You will not be disappointed with this piano!
